There are no coincidences, God has His reasons for people meeting - even on the sidewalk.
A young woman stopped by today at the abortion facility, on the facility side of the sidewalk in their parking lot. She wanted to debate the signs that are used with Viv, our anchor sidewalk counselor. Apparently this woman believed the 'signs made people feel bad'. And to Viv's credit, these were 'unborn development' signs, not the graphic aborted signs that are usually used.
Her position was that Jesus would never do this to women....the signs and people trying to counsel abortion-minded women, coming to the sidewalk that is. It is an incredible thing that people still believe Jesus to be some kind of weakling who would not defend the lives of unborn babies or anything uncomfortable. But the incredible part is that this young woman complaining we are not being Christ-like is a Pastor's wife. Yes, a PASTOR'S WIFE.
"And I am a Christian," she said, "and a Pastor's wife." She did not help her position but it did tell the tale of why Christians and Churches don't show up to defend God's creation.
The gloves came off when she told me she 'could eat my lunch' with scripture to defend her herself and Jesus...and that's all I needed. I promptly let her know that 'Reverend' is in front of my name, ordained and licensed. I also let her know that she, her pastor husband and their church are not here standing in the gap to defend and protect the image of God: unborn children. I told her she needs to go back to the first chapter of Romans to remind herself how God feels about people that "also approve of those who practice them" [Rom 1:18-32].
They are in grave error; choosing to ignore the plank in their own eye is why they can't see the truth:
"v3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? v4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? v5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye." Matthew 7:3-5
I gave her plenty to think about. God brought this Pastor's wife to us so that He can break her comfort zone and break her heart over the daily murder of His creation. This article is not meant to bring condemnation to her [I am NOT God] but to bring awareness of what God really wants from her and the rest of us: OBEDIENCE.
Over 4000 unborn babies die every day because the church lays silent. The church always rests on what is comfortable rather than do what God called them to do. God NEVER calls anyone to do what is comfortable...EVER.
What wouldn't Jesus do? NOT show up. If Jesus turned over the money-changers tables in the temple, do you really believe Jesus would allow His creation to be disarticulated within the womb? "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword", Matthew 10:34.
Then, what WOULD Jesus do? SHOW UP at the sidewalk and tell abortion-minded women they are killing His creation. Then Jesus would go to your 'church' and let them know they are NOT practicing or living His two commandments:
"v30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. v31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31
If the Church stays silent, abortion will never end. We try to contact and connect with churches all the time to help stand it the gap as Christ would but none call back, none show up.
I think that beam is so big in the Church's eye that it can't see past it to see their own error of not ministering to the 'least of these':
“v44 Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ v45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’" Matthew 25:44-45
